My broad experience and competencies are applied to bespoke service reviews, training programmes or to enable access, independence and maintenance of medical conditions for individuals. I work with people of all ages with a wide range of medical and functional challenges, their families, carers and other stakeholders.

Services are tailor made in collaboration with the commissioner to cost effectively achieve the identified goals within the deadlines and your local policies and procedures. Evidence based assessments and interventions are employed where suitable and efficient for the Service User. Specific measurable goals and outcome measures enhance focus and communication amongst stakeholders, in turn facilitating smooth, efficient and person-centred provision.

Typical services
I have carried out bespoke Trusted Assessor, Moving and Handling, and Risk Assessment training as part of in-house service developments. It is a pleasure to work with varied staff groups such as care staff, care managers, OT’s. It is beneficial to make these inter departmental as this can help to facilitate service development. I believe in accurate care needs assessment and people-centred care to optimise abilities and decrease care needs.

Bespoke service reviews, of individual services, inter departmentally or across agencies for instance manual handling and health care services in day care facilities have been provided. Such services can be designed to actively facilitate service development.

Assessment of individual functional ability and need in accordance with your eligibility criteria, recommendation and specification of equipment and adaptation (including DFG’s) is provided, including objective ‘second opinions’ on equipment, adaptations and care needs. Manual Handling with People is another specialty often employed, where risk assessment, specifications, guidelines and training can be included.

Service level agreements to reduce waiting lists, including DFG’s, have been managed and provided.

Reports are designed to suit your procedures and give clear, costed specifications, to enable immediate consideration of funding and provision of equipment, adaptation and care as relevant. Trial and follow-up can also be provided.

Assessment of functional ability can assist determination of care need, including under FACS, and guidance of carers enabling service users, optimising individual ability and reducing future care needs, is available.
